My Mum Made It is a visionary streetwear clothing label that keeps innovation, comfort and feeling like a vibe on a very balanced scale. The founder and self taught Australian designer, Nyree Leckenby began the label’s roots inside her studio apartment back in 2013 by hand sewing dresses that she made out of thrifted curtains and bed sheets. She decided to call her label ‘My  Mum Made It’ so that when people asked where she got her unique dresses from, she could reply with “my mum made it”.  The label has since come far from the days where once was just a hobby and evolved seriously into the influential streetwear brand that is well respected and beloved by top models, celebrities and fashion enthusiasts globally.

The establishment of MMMI Productions is a story no one would believe in. An accidental encounter online between university students in China and an aspiring fashion designer who dropped out of college that led to the creation of a cross national self managed team of 30.

Though selling their own clothing online these students quickly responded to a random request to from Nyree to help her find a good seamstress in China. It was their father, one of many more including friends and family they would eventually invite to work for them. Today it is a very closely knit high performing team working in a family like environment.

Such a unique structure allows MMMI to better control quality, enable full transparency of materials used and adhere to the highest ethical standards. Our production team is one of the most critical pillars of MMMI’s capability and vision today.
